FeedFlow Project Awarded £3 Million to Power Poultry Welfare and Efficiency
The FeedFlow project integrates AI-powered monitoring and Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) with Black Soldier Fly larvae (BSFL) feed to improve poultry welfare, optimise production efficiency, and promote sustainability in the poultry industry.
New Holland Methane T6
We have purchased 2 New Holland T6.180 Methane Tractors!
Having tractors powered by sustainable fuel gives us the same performance but with minimal environmental impact.
Winners – National Egg & Poultry Awards
We are thrilled to have won ‘Sustainable Farm of the Year’ At the National Egg and Poultry awards 2024!
Woodcott Farm – Free Range Hens
In February 2024, newly established Woodcott Farm welcomed 12,000 free range hens. A state of the art shed, alongside 1500 freshly planted trees promises to provide a comfortable home and some delicious eggs!
850 Trees Planted
In February 2023, we planted 850 trees around the 5 newly developed chicken sheds at Edgeworthy Farm. This provides shelter in the range areas whilst also providing habitats for other wildlife and sequestering carbon.
Edgeworthy Poultry Site
In autumn 2022, 4 houses on the new site were filled with higher-welfare birds with the remaining house nearing completion.
YFC Visit to Nomansland Biogas
NBL hosted a group of 40 young farmers from north Devon in June 2022. A talk demonstrating the operational aspect of the Anaerobic Digester alongside a tour of how biogas can blend and benefit agriculture on a farm level.
Edgeworthy chicken site development
Work is underway at the Edgeworthy Free-Range Poultry site. Roofs and Wall Panels are being installed on 4 sheds with the steel frame going up on the 5th shed. Construction is currently on track for bird fill in september.
Nomansland Cricket Club
In 2021, Nomansland Cricket Club, a newly formed club following a merger of Witheridge and Rackenford Cricket Clubs played their first season at the club based at the farm. https://www.nomanslandcricketclub.co.uk/
Sustainable Ag Bursary
